Why teams look for a WATI alternative
Every message costs 20% more than Meta’s rate
WATI’s Growth rate card charges ₹1.0357 for a marketing message to an Indian number, against Meta’s ₹0.8631. At 20,000 marketing messages a month, that is about ₹3,450 extra every month. Botmust adds nothing: Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business Account.
Three users is not many
Growth includes 3 users and doesn’t let you add more. A fourth teammate means moving to Pro, which is ₹6,499 a month billed monthly for 5 users. Botmust Starter includes 10 seats.
AI, Shopify and a pipeline cost extra
On Growth, WATI includes one AI agent with 2,000 credits and two chatbots, charges $4.99 a month for Shopify, and keeps pipeline management for the Business plan. Botmust includes the AI agent, flows, Shopify and WooCommerce, and a deal pipeline on every plan.
When WATI may suit you better
WATI has a long track record and 517 reviews on G2, so there is plenty of independent feedback to read. It offers a 7-day free trial, which Botmust doesn’t. If your team already runs well-tested automations on WATI’s Pro or Business plan, the cost of rebuilding them may outweigh the savings. Compare your total monthly cost first: plan fee, messages at each rate, extra users and add-ons.
How to switch from WATI to Botmust
- Create your Botmust workspace and pick a plan with enough seats and channels for your team.
- Bring your contacts. Export them from WATI as a CSV file and import them into Botmust with their tags. Keep the opt-in status, and leave out anyone who opted out.
- Move your WhatsApp number. Meta lets a WhatsApp Business number move from one provider to another. Ask WATI to release it (two-step verification switched off), then connect it in Botmust through Meta’s signup. You may need to submit your message templates for approval again.
- Rebuild your automations. Recreate chatbot replies with the BotMust AI agent and your business knowledge, and rebuild multi-step journeys as no-code flows.
- Test before your first campaign. Send a template to a few teammates, check that replies arrive in the shared inbox, then send to your customers.

Yes. Meta allows a WhatsApp Business number to move between providers. Ask WATI to release it, then connect it in Botmust; you may need to resubmit your templates.
